Satterlee Partner Jennifer Philbrick McArdle Speaks to Association of Corporate Counsel Chapter on #MeToo-Related Legal Trends

Satterlee Partner Jennifer Philbrick McArdle recently presented a continuing legal educational session entitled States are Reacting to #MeToo – Is Your Company?  What In-House Counsel Need to Know About the Evolving Sexual Harassment Legal Regime & Maintaining an Ethical Legal Department to the Westchester/Southern Connecticut chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.  Ms. McArdle provided a defense bar perspective, with co-presenter Kathryn Barcroft, Special Counsel at the Solomon Law Firm, providing the perspective of plaintiff’s counsel and Christina Feeny of Refinitiv serving as Moderator.  In addition to a comprehensive overview of New York state and city sexual harassment prevention laws, the panel addressed emerging trends in #MeToo related litigation and related risks for companies, as well as the ethical obligations of in-house lawyers related to sexual harassment complaints and investigations.
