Michael J. Greenberg of Satterlee Stephens Hosts Alzheimer’s Association Seminar on Legal and Financial Planning for the Newly Diagnosed Dementia Patient

Satterlee Stephens’ attorney, Michael Greenberg, recently hosted a seminar on behalf of the New York City Chapter of the Alzheimer’s AssociationMr. Greenberg, Chair of the Association’s Legal Committee, gave a lecture entitled Legal and Financial Planning for the Newly Diagnosed Dementia Patient where he discussed how newly diagnosed dementia patients can protect their assets from medical costs and how they can maintain control of medical and financial decisions.  He included additional topics such as setting up a trust, applying for Medicaid, planning for long-term care, the costs of receiving care at home, nursing-home expenses, and the role of an attorney in the process.  The Legal Committee of the Alzheimer's Association helps patients and their families address a variety of legal and financial issues associated with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
