R. Demarest Duckworth, III is of Counsel to Satterlee Stephens LLP.
He is fully familiar with estate planning and the administration of both estates and trusts, drafting wills and trusts, including, but not limited to, living trusts, insurance trusts, charitable trusts, qualified principal residence trusts, and grantor annuity trusts. His practice also includes real estate matters, representing sellers and purchasers, tenants and landlords and multiple owners of real estate in need of structuring and documenting their various interests. Mr. Duckworth has represented several corporate trustees and individual fiduciaries in contested proceedings, including appearing in court to represent his client’s interests.
He is admitted to practice before the New York State Bar, is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Duckworth is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
Mr. Duckworth earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Dartmouth College and his law degree (J.D.) from Suffolk University Law School, where he was a member of the Suffolk Law Review.
