Daniel G. Gurfein is a partner of Satterlee Stephens LLP.
As a practitioner specializing in transactions and litigation related to the credit card industry, Mr. Gurfein handles major cases involving a wide variety of commercial rights and has significant experience in advising clients with respect to, and litigating matters related to, the rights and obligations of credit card account owners, receivable owners, servicers, acquirers, ISOs, processors and joint venturers. Mr. Gurfein also regularly advises clients on, and litigates, matters related to compliance with various state and federal consumer protection statutes.
Mr. Gurfein is admitted to practice before the New York State Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States District Courts in the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the District of Arizona and is a member of the American Bar Association.
Born in New York City, Mr. Gurfein earned his undergraduate degree (B.S.) from Cornell University and his law degree (J.D.) from Fordham University, where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review.
